A new beginning


This is a small prototype of something much much bigger.
V 0.1 is a the version I worked with back when Game Maker Studio 1.3 was the cool kid in town. I dreamt big back then, and I decided to start experimenting with procedural generation, so I decide to create something like a simple space-themed 4X. I started building a an algorithm to create little stars. With proper documentation, the little stars grow into believable representations os stars. The stars get som planets, more or less equially believable, and soon the project grew over my capabilities by the time, some code breaks, I couldn't safe the project, so I threw the code into oblivion. That was 2014.

Christmass 2020.
Exploring in my old PC at my mother's I find the code. Now with better skills, and a better knowloedge on code, I think about finding out what was the problem. I import the code into Game Maker Studio 2.3 and... it works again. I decide I'll optimize the code, improve star an d planet generation, and then I'll see if there's something interesting I can do with it. That was V0.2

Now my intention is to make a little space exploration game, with a little crafting and colonization mechanics, maybe. Dunno. I wanted to dust off what I had, making it look good, and not buggy if possible, and here it is. This is V0.3

Now I'm working on V0.4 which will include a propper spaceship with cargo, life points and gamey stuff. I'm trying to make something playable out of this.
